The Simplicity of Kid's Party Games

The decorations, fun themes, food and all the other parts of a chid's party are enjoyable, but for the kids probably look forward to party games the most. Without kid's party games included the children would be left bored without anything to do and the party would be cut short. Most kids will not care much about the party decorations or cute theme the parents created. It's the kid's party games that make it a party. The games need not be extravagant, tediously planned or difficult to explain. The most simple kid's party games will be the most fun and enjoyable.

Although kids may not care much about party themes as far as the cute napkins and paper plates, they will like and notice the theme if it is incorporated within the games. A party theme is necessary for the planners sometimes so that you can stay on one track and not buy unneeded party supplies. If you are planning a theme you should decorate the game props to match, or use certain words and phrases that pertain to the theme in a game.

Kid's party games are easy to make up yourself or you can get ideas from sites online. There are variations to every game, so if you find one with a few rules that will not work for your party, just change it. Being able to change, add or take away rules of kid's party games is the wonderful and simple thing about them. Even if you have a specific game planned and the children get there and decide it would work better another way you can easily change it.

Try kid's party games with balloons. Balloons are fun and fascinating even to adults and there are endless variations of kid's party games that involve balloons. One balloon game divides the kids into two groups. The players in each group will pair up and try to pop a balloon between their backs. Once one pair in the team is finished the next pair down the line begins trying to pop a balloon. The team who's line finishes first will win.

Playing "tag" is another infamous kid game but there are several rules and stipulations you could add to change it up and make it more interesting or less rowdy. One idea for a tag type of kid's party games suggests putting all the participants in a circle with one person blindfolded in the middle, the "it" person. The people in the circle move around quietly while the "it" kid moves around trying to grab or touch someone on the outside. When you are touched you must disguise your voice while repeating a word or phrase. If the person who is "it" can guess who the said the phrase then the two switch positions. The phrase can be something related to the party theme.

This type of game is especially great as a kid's party game because the is no actual winner. Kid's party games that are designed to have winners each time are still fun but adults should emphasize that the party is not intended for the children to be competing. To avoid the competitive atmosphere you could play one game over and over until everyone gets a chance to win or just play games that allow the kids to work together.
